Cousins
I used to be a sub teacher in elementary schools. After the holiday the teachers would ask the kids to write about their vacation. Nine times out of ten they would say the best part of their vacation was the time they spent with their cousins. Parents may think getting together is a lot of work and even wonder if it is worth it.... Well it really is. The kids bond and they cherish memories.

The Family
The most treasured memories we have are with our loved ones and good friends. I am also thankful for a ward family. I love the gospel plan. Our heavenly father created family ties so that we would never have to feel alone no matter where we are. You can drive to another state and go to church on Sunday and instantly feel like you know and love them. This is Christ's love.

Bonnie and I were able to visit Anna recently. Even though she is bound to her wheelchair she was full of Christmas spirit . She read the Christmas Orange and gave us egg nog. We gave her a bag of oranges. She shared a Greek pastry that was marvelous . Merry Christmas Anna!

Merry Christmas to All
I almost forgot where to look for the magic when we lost the election and the king got back in... I would so much appreciate him honoring the constitution and using the three branches of government instead of mandating 10,000 laws. I swore I was done watching news and thinking politics so I started shopping. I realized as I waited in line to buy something that I would soon be back to wait in line to return it. Not knowing what anyone wanted was erasing the magic. I looked inside the boxes of decorations and couldn't find it there after hours of work.
I didn't have anyone to help me make doughnuts this year and it's no fun doing it alone. Then the magic came the day Bobs kids came for piano lessons . Gage said " can I set up your tree?" I was elated. He, Mason and Lea continued to put on lights and decorations. They would pull things out of an old box and say " did my dad make this in school?" When it was done I stood back and saw the most beautiful tree in the world . It was magic!!!

I miss my Dad. He passed away on July 4, 2011. He was always full of good advice and concern for his children and grandchildren. He prayed for us continually and we felt safe because of his prayers. He loved the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He served faithfully in his calling over the Stake Records. He loved his country and was very patriotic. My last telephone conversation was about his ancestors and he answered some questions I had about them. I hope I can live my life in such a way that he would be proud.

We saw Maddy and Joey perform AIDA at the Spanish Fork Jr. High Little Theater, this past March 2011. What a great play it was! Thanks Maddy and Joey for sharing your talents.

It was so much fun to be in Utah and see the great Play that Gage was in. It was about the great movement to settle to west and how wonderful it is to live in Utah. I feel as though I have 2 places that feel like home. One is Missouri and one of course is in Utah where my heart is with every member of my family that lives there.

Lea, Gage, Elise, Mason....a bundle of joy! How I miss them. Anyone want to buy a house in Mo., so we can go home to our family that we miss? Every one of these kids can play a song for you on the piano....at least they could last summer when I was there. Time for another piano lesson!!!

When I was about 3 years old we moved to Las Vegas and became very good friends with the Huntington's. This is Scott and Steve and I as we were dressed up for a summer parade. Soon the Huntington's had a baby girl named Linda who became my best friend. They have always been like family to us.
